WFB Buzz (“we,” “us,” or “the site”) is a hyperlocal blog covering Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin. This policy explains what information we collect from visitors and how we use it.
What We Collect
Email subscribers. If you sign up for updates using the “Subscribe” form, we collect your email address in order to send you new posts. We don’t sell, rent, or share this list with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Comments. If you leave a comment on a post, our comment system collects your name, email address, type of browser used and IP address. Your email address is never displayed publicly. It is used only for comment administration (for example, to contact you about your comment if needed).
Basic site analytics. Like most websites, WFB Buzz uses standard analytics tools (such as those built into WordPress/Jetpack) to see general traffic patterns: how many people visit, what pages are popular, and what device or browser they’re using. This data is aggregated and not used to identify individual visitors.
Cookies. WordPress and its plugins may set basic cookies to support core site functions (like remembering comment form entries) and analytics. We don’t use cookies for targeted advertising.
How We Use Information
- To send subscribers new posts and occasional site updates
- To manage and moderate comments
- To understand overall readership and improve coverage
Third Parties
WFB Buzz is hosted on WordPress.com/Jetpack infrastructure, which has its own privacy practices governing hosting, comments, and analytics. If we ever add affiliate links to posts (for example, in event or business roundups), those links will be clearly disclosed on the relevant post, and clicking them is subject to that third party’s own privacy policy.
We do not sell personal data to third parties.
Your Choices
